Howard,
Yes, I see your points. I should have made the last question a little clearer, the main thrust was about the actual flight line principal and as much as they've tried to do with tape and stays, there are still people getting clobbered. That's one of the reasons I shyed away from the concentration of bodies on Sunday, the 104 is rather pointey. There is decalage on both wing and tail ala the t38 stylee and yes I probably overdid the noseweight too. I remember being disappointed with the Viggen's dumbed down display with the thrust tab then when the t38 came along Ooooohhhh...

Oops sorry was I teaching granny etc...... I slipped back in to lecturing mode?!!!!

Roger comments: don't be sorry, Howard - I thought this interchange of ideas/approaches fascinating and I at least learned something.

Both of you are 'Prime Pilots' with something to teach us miserable pudnockers!

On balance, I prefer a 'cruise around the field at reasonable height' which Andy's larger T-38 Talon does, but the cavortings of his smaller T-38 and the F-104 certainly got the 'oohs and 'ahs'.:cheer:

Chris Cootes also prefers the stable realistic cruise; so impressed was he with my F-100 he insisted on taking a picture:

Which was flattering.

As to the 'bottom line' I can only echo Eeyore about this blustery meeting, "At least it didn't rain".

Howard,
I'm only too glad of the experience you've got, we could certainly do with some nice calm warm air to work with. As has become usual, the medium in which we work is flawed when we arrive and we have no choice than making the best of it. I don't mind the goal posts being moved.... but the whole stadium!!!

Andy.

Hi guys,

just had a couple of nice photos fro Chris Cootes:

The bottom picture shows how Andy tamed the beast - note the Blu-tac 'gurney strip' on the port wing and the nose weight. Now Andy only needs to exchange the Blu-tac on the nose with lead (hidden!), decorate it and we will have a fine model!

Template, anybody?

Onwards and (hopefully!) upwards ... over to the building threads - 'New models for 2018'.
