I have happy memories of Brian's Jetex powered Fizz Whizz circling around Ferry Meadows with beautiful smoke trails about 20+ years ago

A few pics of Jetsam as it is today, it is not been flown since 2002, it now weighs 27g with 0.6g nose weight and 0.25mm 6lb fishing line to go with the tip up wing “silly putty” DT. There is some 0.5 ply reinforcement on the front wing peg, probably for belt and braces reasons. The DT has never been tried in anger but worked OK in tests although I’m now wondering if the wing bands are vulnerable to the hotter exhaust of the TSP motor, I will need to do some tests PDQ.
Various different DT set ups could probably be used like a detachable wing, tip up fuselage with the joint on the wing trail edge etc but this is how I made it the first time.

Below are the thumbnails of the A4 drawings, I will try to get the full size versions on the plans website with all our Jetex, Rapier and TSP drawings as soon as they can be proven with a test build.

As I have not been able to get out to a field big enough to fly Rapier or TSP powered models in yet, I did a static test run in the garden of a pre CE TSP motor in Jetsam to check that exhaust would not damage the model. I am glad to report that the exhaust did not affect the wing bands or the Depron wing in any way and the tail surfaces were only very lightly affected by some soot which was easily brushed off later, pic below. The foil top to the fuselage and leading edge of the fin did not appear show any residue at all, this might not be the case after several motor runs of course, you would normally expect some deposits to show up.

This is looking very nice Howard. It's good news that the depron is untainted.
