You might consider modifying the mounting of the filaments. I use a modified Cord Zap unit in your first igniter:

It (a) makes replacement easier (this needs doing more often than you think) and (b) gives a measure of protection to your igniter from the hot exhaust! B)

When can I have one please?

Hi all, as mentioned.
I have been experimenting with ex vape batteries.
A larger size 65mm x 8mm dia and at 3.7v (fully charged 4.5v). So useable means of mounting and using still to be decided.
Have been counting ignition and recording voltage loss and have yet to recharge initial battery after 20No. cycles. Seems promising ??!!. .

RR adds: these are the batteries Roj is experimenting with:

They look promising, but are rather too wide to fit a Cord Zap body. But I do have some rather nice plastic tubing which might be just the ticket. :)

Similar batteries are available on eBay. I used them to make up an electric bike battery pack.
