Slight change of build plans, Hadi at VMC came good with a replacement set of parts for the Super Sabre so on with the build....not sure a DynaJet will fit though.

Super!

Roger adds,

well done Daniel, you is getting very good at this! B)
Points to consider for your next model:

1. extra sheeting around the nose and tail, paying attention to the appearance of the jet efflux and around the cockpit canopy.

2. Seating for the pilot.

3. more realistic intakes.

But really, this is a lovely job, the paint job is terrific (you can do my FD 2!) and it should fly splendidly!

Making slow progress on the Skyleada F100 not enjoyed the kit I must say, quite vague and ill fitting parts so much so I've gone maverick now and changed lots, adding stringers and adding planking fillets etc. Semi happy now, will be increasing the moment in an attempt to make it flyable, will also be adding the scale wing fences (See Sabre Dance) not sure at the speeds the model will be flying these will help and with out a wind tunnel....wings next, empanage is also going to be sheet balsa another diversion, proof of the pudding will be in the flying I guess. Or not

Hi Daniel,

looks to be good progress to me. The latter Skyleada designs after Ray Booth left are not very good. The F-100, Jet Provost and (especially) the gnat are, as you finding, quite a challenge.

For more on this topic see:

Skyleada Gnat etc..

So, " I've gone maverick now and changed lots, adding stringers and adding planking fillets etc" is the way to go.

Above: the egregious Skyleada Gnat. Pete Smart was of the opinion it couldn't ever have flown!

I look forward to seeing your progress. ;)
