John (Velojet) makes this comment, "Not sure, though, that I agree about a facelift to the header artwork"

The changes I think need making are (a) to make the archive much more obvious, so that folk know it's there with much much interesting stuff, and (b) where the FAQs are.
In my experience many would-be flyers have difficulty finding the 'frequently asked questions' and hadn't looked in the archive!

Anybody have any other thoughts how to make our website easier to use?

I've just spent some time trawling through the new video site linked on Jetex.org, what good fun. Annoying though that at the end of each video Youtube sends you off to more similar links with other Rapier videos and so you have to backtrack each time to get back to the next Jetex.org video.

I did however come across this video of a Sea Vixen flying very well despite Richard Crossley's inability to get his going properly years ago as it kept turning one way or the other.

Lovely to see this old KK favourite actually flying and must add it too the build list along with the Skyrocket having watched Andy's glorious example. Am trying to do some modelling at the moment, will keep you in suspenders until it flies at O.W!!!!!

Cheers, H

There is an "Autoplay" button in the top right hand corner of the YouTube page that automatically is set to "ON". This has to be turned off to stop the video's automatically jumping to the next video in the column on the right. ;)

I (Roger) like Howard, loved the footage of the Sea Vixen, which has the reputation of being tricky to trim.

Steve Bage found out the hard way that it needed the recommended dihedral -he found the Sea Vixen needed both dihedral and washout to fly without performing the dreaded 'spiral of death' into the ground.

I'm tempted to build one and see for myself!

As to the videos, there is a comment on You Tube about the videos that states 'Pity Rapiers are no longer available" :woohoo:

I then (in capitals) write something like, "Oh yes they are". Misinformation about Rapiers must be countered at every oppurtunity!

Roger

Well, I'd be the last person to disagree with that suggestion ;) Bring it on!
