Good point, you do have to plan it before you build!!!!!!!!!!

Roger comments:
it is no shame to start a model, get a certain way, and stop and start again. This is what happened with my Hawker P.1081:

Hawker P.1081 build

Where I made two false starts. The F.D.1 fuselage would work well using the Bill Dean MiG 15/ Richard Crossley Bell X-1S approach, i.e. spilt the fuselage horizontally, not vertically.
Going forward from where you are now, Howard's idea looks good. Extra sheeting around the wing roots is always good, and make a jig so that you can align everything before gluing.

At least this has slowed you down .... a bit! I look forward to the next photo!

Fairey FD1...Success from the jaws of defeat...well its square and seems strong. It's only a tiddler anyway! Paint tomorrow folks.

Voila!, my anti glare hand painting isn't the best but it'll do.
Yes I know its white and not silver I wimped out on account of how 'revealing' silver is.

Onwards.

All the best.

A little beaut.

Roger comments (as admin): Congratulations to Daniel on his first OD. I look forward to flying reports - being, as Daniel says, a 'little tiddler' it will probably be happiest with a Rapier L-2 LT. Which fortunately with have stocks of. :)

Also (speaking as admin), as this is a new model, not built from a kit, a bit more info would be nice, viz: length, span and (importantly) weight. Also, a few more detail photos of the wing fixing, trough and motor mount would be very helpful to those who also want to build one.

You will also be asked, I'm sure, "is there a plan, mister?".

You have been warned! :woohoo:
