Description: |
Translated from Modèle Magazine, June 1955
The monocoque fuselage is sheathed in 3/16" × 1/16" balsa strips, with the nose shaped from a solid balsa block. Assemble it as two half-shells.
The wings have a biconvex airfoil and should be glued to the fuselage before covering the wing root fairing that's given its shape by formers 4, 5 and 6.
The tail booms are made of light balsa. The tail itself is also formed of light balsa, 3/32" thickness, with the rudders slotted into half-width slots in the stabilizer. Assembly proceeds with first joining together the stabilizer and rudder, then the booms, and finally the assembled unit being glued to the wings. The Jetex motor is mounted in the lower half of the fuselage, with access to the nozzle being via a trough beginning at former 5 and lined with aluminum foil or thin asbestos sheet.
The aircraft is painted in matt black, and decorated with tricolour rosettes and a naval anchor.
Leave the landing gear off when flying. |
