Hi guys,
I hope to see a few a few of you guys at this meeting on 18 & 19 May. The weather forecast (writing this on the Wednesday before) is 'not too bad' with lightish winds and some rain.

I hope to be there as I have lots of motors to shift. At worst, I shall plonk myself in the SAM tent if it rains. At best, I hope to be on the flying field, even if I do have to be in a wheel chair. My KK Rapier and Jigtime Arrowjet are raring to go.

and then there's Roj Reese's Thunderstreak (a rather nice Mike Stuart design originally for Rapier L-2) ....

And his ambitious OD XB 46

Onwards and upwards! :cheer:

Hi guys, well, we had a good day on the Saturday. The field wwas quite damp up to mid-mornong, but the winds were lighter than forecast, the rain stayed away and the sun came out in the afternoon. Here are just a few photos to give a flavour of the fun we had .

Above: Daniel Rackstraw was definitely the star of the show. Here he is with his Cutlass, Skystreak, Bell X-1E and X-15. All had some splendid flights.

Above: Andy Blackwell was a real trouper helping me trim and launch my models and retrieving my wayward Jetex Viper. He had fun with a T-38.

Above: nice action shots of Andy with my new Arrowjet. It made a good flight after adding 5 grams of Blue-Tack noseweight and a rather more potent TSP L-2.

Above: similarly, the KK Rapier needed some sorting out, but we got there inthe end!B)

It was great to see John Digby with his new Skyray. It needed a motor mount, so John, like Andy, spent time retrieving and giving out good advice to all and sundry!

Above: John with his colourful Skyray and with my venerable F-15. This had just made a really wonderful flight and I was so pleased John was there to fetch it back!

Above: Roger Reese had brought a grand selection of models with him, and kept Daniel and Andy busy trimming them out! All had potential, but they needed, perhaps, a bit more power than the 2022- 2023 TSP L-2s provided.

Above: Roj with his unique XB-46. He says he'll be back next time with some TSP L-3 motors!

Above: expert opinon (thank you, Daniel and Andy) was that the Thunderflash needed more oomph to climb away out of ground effect.

So I went home a very happy Bunny, if now short of 200 mN L-2 motors. I was too tired, however, to go back on the Sunday.
