TOPIC: Rapier Weight Loss?

Hello all,

I was just wondering how much weight a rapier motor loses as it burns?
Has anyone weighed them before and after use?

Hi Jon,

A Rapier L-2 weighs 10-11 grams, and loses about half this - 5 grams or so - in burning. Because of this, Rapiers need to be nearer the CG than Jetex motors, which lose far smaller proportion of their weight in flight.
