I'm hoping to very shortly start a series of blogs talking about the use of 3D printing in my modeling exploits. In the mean time here's a very nice video which might serve as an intro to 3D printing covering the various stages of a design and build.
Here they are talking about fairly large RC models but much of what's shown applies at Jetex/Tendera sizes.

Hi Terry,
many thanks for posting the video. These guys are the real thing and their models are inspirational. 3D printing with a light-weight foaming plastic is certainly a splendid way to reproduce some of the more shapely modern jets that would be difficult with 'stick & tissue'.
Terry has of course already shown how with his is done with a Blackburn Buccaneer:



and I hope to persuade him make a fuselage for an Aermacchi 346:



The AM 346 has long been on my 'to do' list and will soon feature on a separate thread in 'Building'.

You will note Terry also printed off the Buccaneer's wings and tailplane, but I feel these would be better as proper traditional structures. :unsure:
