Further to Andy`s JETNIK model on E-Bay has any one spotted the little Adam Craft Jet Boat ? It`s a Jetex 50 size model and looks in pretty good condition. I have a reduced scale drawing of this model so I was highly delighted to see that on one of the thumb nail pictures the seller has put a rule next to it, so a repro model in now on the books.

There appears to be some nice items of Jetex stuff on eBay at the moment. Have a look at:

The Jetex 50 motors look in to be good condition, and there are some nice boxes of ICI pellets.

So to all of you chaps asking me, "Where can I get some motors, fuel etc, and not been too pleased with my answer, "try eBay", this is your chance. Hopefully, because there are a fair number of items on offer, prices won't go too high!

There is still a steady trickle of Jetex related stuff on eBay, f'rinstance a rather nice helicopter and a number of tins of pellets and motors.

One caveat: some eBay lots sell an alloy-bodied Jetex 50 (the original ribbed one or the later 50B with tins of Sebel fuel.

The Sebel formulation burns hotter than the ICI one. Now pellets do age, and possibly old Sebel fuel burns cooler than of yor, but I would still not risk putting Sebel pellets in an alloy motor.

Andy Blackwell did a demo of what can happen some time ago: the motor (an alloy Jetmaster) burst.
