perhaps we could arrange an impromptu 'show and tell' to encourage as many as possible to come along. There would be prizes and we will fill the skies with socially distanced smoke trails.

Ideas for suitable prizes welcome! :cheer:

Yes, and I do hope fliers will wear their best suits. (as we see in the pictures in the Aeromodeller from the 1950s)

Who knows, the camera man from Pathe news might be there.

As with this dapper gentleman.

Anyone looking for some unusual and interesting jet types to model could take a look at this video.

The Avro Arrow and the F107 are just begging to be modelled.

Hi Terry,

many thanks for the inspirational video! Now that we have a secure supply of motors I hope that at least a few of the expert modellers out there - Mike Stuart, Richard Crossley, Peter Smart et al will be attracted back to flying jets.

Some years ago, one modeller (I forget his name, alas) did start an F-107 for 'micro EDF', but I don't think it was ever flown:

Chuck Yeager's favourite fighter, the F-20, has long been on my 'to do' list:

And as for the lovely Avro Arrow, I'm happy to report it has been done, and flies as good as it looks:

Modesty prevents me from saying who the designer/builder is - just don't ask for the plan! B)

There are a number of splendid Rapier powered models on Mike Stuart's website, for example:

Mike's Jets

models that could well be revisited.

Has anyone else got a list of models they wish to share - it is after all coming up to our 'winter build' time. Perhaps it's also time to start a new thread on this topic? :)

Chaps, my latest foray is the Veron Fouga Cyclone...estimating a low power L2 equivalent?

Also does anyone have a copy of the Crossley FW226 Flitzer plan please?

Thanks all
