The history of flying model airplanes with reaction powered motors is a lengthy and fascinating one. Those who are interested in uncovering these stories will want to look inside here.
Most rocket flying these days is done with single-use cardboard-bodied motors. Rapier motors, made until 2019, have now been superceded by the more modern TSP types. The latest versions of these, equivelent to the vintage Jetex 50 and Jetex Atom 35 motors, are the TSP Spectres. Technical operation, fuel formulations, and other topics that relate to the motors themselves are explored here.

Topics here pertain to the designing and building of small lightweight model airplanes. Our jet models are similar in many repects to the traditional balsa (both solid wood as well as tissue covered wood framed) models that use other powerplants.
