This thread is a 'spin off' from Luke's thread about converting the J&H Canberra to TSP power.

Here's the link:

Luke's Profile Canberra

Luke's story (which I would urge you to read first) model prompted me to ponder: is there a kit or plan for a 'proper' built up Canberra out there?

There is of course the venerable Skyleada kit (originally for Jetex 100) from VMC

This is (as they say) a satisfying build, which will need at least an L-3. Should you wish for something smaller there is a more modern design out there which deserves to be better known as estimable Richard Crossley drew up a plan for Aerographics twenty years ago.:)

The photos below are from his original build and from the only time I saw it at Old Warden in (Gulp!) in 2004.

This is a very nice model which flies well and it's a real pity it never became an Aerographics Kit

Fortunately I do have a copy of the plan:

It would be great to see this lovely design flying again and I'm hoping someone out there will build one for the 2024 flying season.

Please ask for a copy of the plan! :cheer:

What a beauty Richard's Canberra is. What a shame it was never kitted.
